Every garden is unique, and so are the ways I can help you transform yours. I offer garden design services in South-East London tailored to your needs: from full garden design to planting design (including detailed planting plans) and garden consultations. Whether you want to reimagine your entire space, refresh planting for year-round interest, or get expert advice on specific challenges, I’ll guide you towards a beautiful, sustainable and wildlife-friendly garden that improves your lifestyle and supports biodiversity.
Perfect if you’re looking for a complete transformation.
What’s included:
Our first meeting is all about getting to know you and your garden. We’ll talk through your ideas, priorities, and wish list, as well as practical considerations such as how you’d like to use the space and how much you’d like to invest. I’ll also explore how you currently use your garden and what you’d like it to become.
Following this visit, I’ll send you a draft brief and fee proposal for your approval. If you decide to go ahead, I’ll return to carry out a full measured survey and site assessment, including soil testing, sun/shade analysis, and noting all the details we need to move forward with the design.
Behind the scenes, I’ll explore different possibilities for your garden: how the space can be arranged, ideas for structure, flow, and character. From this, I’ll prepare a concept package for you that includes:
An illustrated plan showing the proposed layout.
A perspective sketch view to help you visualise the design.
Mood boards with examples of planting style, architectural features, and options for hard landscaping materials.
We’ll review the concept together, and your feedback will be captured and used to shape the detailed design.
Once your feedback from the concept stage has been taken into consideration, I’ll prepare a comprehensive drawing pack. This will include final scaled drawings, construction details, and a scope of works. At this stage, the choice of hard landscape materials will also be confirmed, ensuring the design is fully specified. If you already have a contractor, these can be shared directly with them, or I can share the pack with trusted landscapers to tender and price the project.
Alongside this, I’ll produce a detailed planting plan and a plant schedule for nurseries, ensuring the right plants are sourced in the right quantities. Together, these documents give you and your contractors everything needed to bring the design to life with clarity and accuracy.
When construction starts on site, I can continue to support you by checking that the design is being brought to life as intended. Regular site visits can be arranged to oversee progress, answer questions, and address any issues that may arise along the way.
I can also keep you informed throughout the build, acting as a bridge between you and the contractors. This ensures the project runs smoothly, stays true to the design, and gives you peace of mind at every stage.
Once the hard landscaping is finished, planting brings the design to life. I will either oversee or carry out the planting to make sure every detail of the design is realised.
A tailored maintenance plan can also be provided on request, giving you clear guidance on how to care for your new garden so it continues to thrive.
Beyond completion, I can offer follow-up visits to review how the garden is settling in and suggest adjustments as it matures. This ongoing support ensures your garden remains healthy, resilient, and evolves beautifully over time.
Want to revitalise what you already have? This service focuses on planting development.
What’s included:
Based on your brief, I’ll create a tailored planting plan that brings structure, texture, and year-round interest. You’ll receive:
A detailed planting plan showing the position and spacing of plants.
A plant schedule listing all species, quantities, and sizes for nurseries.
A mood board capturing the overall “look and feel” of your new scheme.
Every design prioritises plants that are resilient, low-maintenance, and supportive of bees, butterflies, and wider biodiversity.
A tailored maintenance plan can be provided on request, giving you clear guidance on how to care for your planting through the seasons. I can also arrange optional check-in visits to see how the garden is establishing and suggest refinements to keep it flourishing over time.
Ideal if you'd like to explore ideas to develop your own garden and need expert advice on specific garden challenges.
What’s included:
We’ll spend around an hour together either online or in your garden (South-East London) to talk through your ideas, challenges, and questions. This might include:
Suggestions for planting combinations and the right plants for the right places.
Ideas to make better use of your layout or create more flow.
Solutions for common issues such as shade, privacy, or low-maintenance planting.
Simple ways to encourage wildlife and support pollinators.
After the session, you’ll receive a written summary of the advice given, along with practical recommendations and next steps you can follow at your own pace.

This service doesn’t include detailed planting plans or scaled drawings but it can be a great first step before deciding on a full design or planting project.
